Arrive Calgary International Airport, proceed to car rental location to pick up the vehicle, and proceed to hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure to create your own urban adventure and form your first impressions of Western Canada. Overnight in Calgary hotel.

After breakfast, morning at leisure to explore Calgary city on own. Later, check-out of the hotel and depart for Banff. On arrival, check-in at hotel. Overnight in Banff hotel.

Banff

After breakfast day is at leisure. The resort town of Banff, set amongst the towering mountains of Rundle, Tunnel, Cascade and Norquay. Explore Bow Falls, Tunnel Mountain Drive, Surprise Corner, Hoodoos, Two Jack Viewpoint and Lake Minnewanka Boat Cruise (admission included) for one hour which portraits the wildlife and vegetation including the Devil’s gap at foothills of the Rockies. A gentle ride on the Banff Gondola (admission included) takes you to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for a 360 degree panorama of the Bow Valley. Afternoon hike along one of the groomed trails or stroll through the town site of Banff to shop in the many boutiques and shops. Overnight in Banff hotel.

Banff to Lake Louise – 60 KM

After breakfast, check-out and drive through the Bow Valley to Lake Louise. With the Victoria Glacier in the background, this emerald-coloured lake is sure to leave an indelible impression. Overnight in Lake Louise hotel.

After breakfast, check-out and drive to Jasper via the Icefields Parkway - Canada’s most scenic mountain roadway, a route to glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. Arrive at the Columbia Icefields Discovery Centre, take the Glacier Adventure which takes you up the Athabasca Glacier. Later take a coach from the Discovery Centre to the Glacier Skywalk, a glass-floored observation platform over the Sunwapta Valley for an unobstructed view of the surrounding glaciers. Continue along the Parkway to the Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake and Bow Lake en route to Jasper. Overnight in Jasper hotel.

After breakfast day is at leisure to experience the uniquely beautiful landscape of Jasper National Park where history is set amid some of the most rugged peaks in the Rockies. Explore Jasper town-site, Athabasca Viewpoint, Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake. At Maligne Canyon, stroll along 50 meter walls and learn about its unique underground water system. Later, enjoy Maligne Lake Boat Cruise (admission included) and we suggest a visit to Miette Hot Springs, White Water Rafting, Jasper Skytram, Sky Gazing and much more. Overnight in Jasper hotel.

Attractions operating timings:

  • Lake Minnewanka Cruise is operational from 13th May – 15th
  • Maligne Lake Cruise is operational from 1st June – 10th October.
  • Ice Explorer Ride & Glacier Skywalk is operational from 15th April – 15th October

Self-Drive Notes:

  • A daily rate is based on 24 hours.
  • Passengers will be charged directly for additional hours, days and additional coverage or optional products purchased at the commencement of the rental.
  • Rates are based on pick up date and not return date.
  • Self-drive cost does not include any discount or promotion.
  • Minimum requirement for Car Rental:
  1. Minimum age for car rental is 21 with a prepaid voucher.
  2. Drivers under the age of 25 years will be subject to a surcharge of CAD 25 per day. Certain car classes may not be available to drivers under the age of 25.
  3. The driver should possess a valid driver’s license (Smart card) or International driving permit.
  4. The driver should hold a major credit card in his / her name with a sufficient balance at the time of availing the vehicle.
  • Drop Off fees is not a part of the above quote and the same should be paid locally.
  • Tolls, national park fees, parking fees, fuel and anything apart from the inclusions passengers need to pay directly.
  • GPS, unlimited mileage, insurance, accessories, and child car seat is not included unless specified.
  • Vehicle offered and quoted are always on similar basis / category.
  • Certain locations and classes of car require 3 forms of identification as a condition to rent. Please advise passengers to check at time of reservation if special conditions pertain to their particular rental.
  • The following deductibles apply to LDW coverage included in the rental options: $300 for vehicles from Sub-compact to Full-Size and $500 for any other categories. LDW Buy-down option to bring the deductibles to $0.00 is available at $10.99 + taxes per day, payable locally.
  • Deductibles and rates for additional services are payable by passengers directly to the rental company and are subject to change without notice.
  • A Snow Tire Fee is applicable 12 months per year in Quebec only. Car classes A-E is $3.24/day and all other car classes is $4.24/day. This charge is payable by passengers locally and is subject to change without notice.
  • At the time of vehicle pickup AVIS agents may offer passengers the following additional services payable directly to the rental company. All below costs are subject to applicable taxes, may vary from one rental location to another and change without notice:
    • Personal Accident Insurance - $4.99 per person per day
    • Roadside Safety Net - $9.99 per day
    • GPS Where 2 - $15.95 per day (up to $104.00 per rental)
    • Fuel Service Option - Varies based on current gasoline price plus administration fee
    • Child Safety Seats - $13 per day (up to $91.00 per rental)

Note:

  • Any type of mandatory fee like a resort fee / city tax etc. has to be paid at the hotel directly, the same is not a part of the package and cannot be prepaid.
  • Attractions are subject to weather conditions.
